The Green Walk
The project involves the redevelopment of an abandoned highway site in Pontecagnano (SA). It is driven by the now inevitable use of renewable energy,
accompanied by the need to give people an architectural promenade, a gathering place socio - cultural. The project extends for 450 m, an area of 9.000 m2, the key
element is an arc, designed to integrate different technologies for the use of renewable energy, the repetition of which defines a pedestrian and cycle route covered by a
photovoltaics archway. The economic feasibility may be ensured by funds disbursed by local authorities, with a view of redevelopment of the area, or by private corporations,
such as industries in the neighborhood. The presence of a power plant makes easier the delivery of the energy produced. The estimated cost of the project is € 4,000,000.
